Common conditions treated at The Foot Clinic

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain. The plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes.

If you would like to know more about Plantar Fascitis click here.

Verruca and warts

Warts are caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). This causes an excess of a substance called keratin to develop in the top layer of skin, resulting in a hard, rough lump. Warts don’t spread easily, but they can be passed on from person to person through close skin contact or contact with contaminated objects or surfaces.

Ingrown Toenail

Onychocryptosis – commonly known as an ingrown toenail – is said to occur when part of the free edge of the nail penetrates the skin at the side of the toe (known as the sulcus).

Fungal Nails/ Skin

Fungal nail infections develop when your feet are constantly warm and damp. You’re more likely to get an infection if you wear trainers for a long time and have hot, sweaty feet.
